For those interested in getting involved in Rock the World, this is an opportunity for you!
We are currently looking for 600+ volunteers for our Lansing location to make our race the best it can be! Volunteering is a great way to get involved with Rock the World and receive a discount on your registration fee!

Grand Rapids Urban Adventure Race

Are you an adventurer? Love a variety of outdoor activities? Then the Grand Rapids Urban Adventure Race is a race for you! Expand your horizons beyond just running with an assortment of challenging events to test your physical and intellectual strength.
It offers a change of pace from your average race, with activities including running, biking, canoeing, using a compass and a variety of race challenges. It is a physical and intellectually challenging race, featuring many physical activities and problem solving skills. Director, Matt Dykstra, has done every GR Urban Adventure Race so far and will also be there for the Spring Edition.
The spring race takes place Saturday, May 19 in one of the nation’s largest urban parks, Millennium Park. It costs $65 per person or $130 for a team of two. With your entry fee you receive a tech t-shirt, pizza and fruit lunch, as well as a chance at $1000 in prizes and raffle giveaways.
The summer edition of the Grand Rapids Urban Adventure Race will be featured in Grand Rapid’s own Riverside Park on Saturday, July 14. It offers the traditional 4 hour or an intense 8 hour race. The 4 hour has an early bird special right now for $59 per person or $118 per team. The 8 hour race’s early bird special is $85 per person or $170 per team. Both entry fees cover a tech shirt, pizza and fruit lunch, and a chance at $1000 in prizes and raffle giveaways.

Discounted Hotel Rates – Radisson Lansing

Guest Room Commitment
Radisson Hotel Lansing at the Capitol will be providing 20 rooms on Friday, June 29 and 20 rooms Saturday, June 30 for only $99.95 (net of all taxes) for single and double rooms. The regular room rate is $179.95, so this is a 45% discount!
Rate includes a complimentary full American Breakfast Buffet for up to two (2) guests per room, per night. Hotel room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 13%) in effect at the time of check in.
Parking
The Radisson Hotel Lansing at the Capitol offers all overnight guests valet parking for a nominal fee of $14.00 per night, per vehicle. However, the Radisson Hotel is pleased to further reduce valet parking to just $7.00 per night, per vehicle. (A savings of 50%)
Method of Reservations
Individual attendees will make reservations for the event directly with Radisson reservations at 1-800-333-3333 or with the hotel at (517) 482-0188. Reservations may also be made by logging on to our web address at www.radisson.com/lansingmi. Use Promotional Code: RTW612 to receive your discounted group rate.
Guaranteed Reservations
All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. Radisson will not hold any reservations unless secured by one of the above methods.
Cut-Off Date
Reservations by attendees must be received on or before May 30, 2012, Radisson will review the reservation pick up for the event, release the unreserved rooms for general sale, and determine whether or not it can accept reservations based on a space-available basis at the Rock the World group rate after this date.
